Capitol Bell Tolls in Honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Governor Kay Ivey ordered the Alabama State Capitol bell to toll 39 times at 6:01 pm on April 4, 2018, to mark the 50th Anniversary of the death of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. While hearing the bell toll you can see the Alabama State Capitol clock and the historic Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church.
