Governor Ivey Celebrates MLK Day with Civil Rights Announcements

Alabama Governor Kay Ivey on Monday, January 14, 2018 attended the 43rd birthdate celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. She shared that the State of Alabama is partnering financially with the City of Montgomery and the Montgomery County Commission to sponsor a life-size sculpture of Dr. King that will be placed in front of Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church. She also announced a state grant enabling this church to add a new audio system to its sanctuary. The Governor also announced the U.S. Civil Rights Trail.
