Shattuck joined the Bentley Administration from the law firm of Rosen Hardwood,
P.A. in Tuscaloosa, where he was a practicing attorney and shareholder. He also
served as an associate pastor with the First United Methodist Church in
Tuscaloosa.
Shattuck has taught as an adjunct professor of law at the University of Alabama
School of Law. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar and served as a Bar
Commissioner for the Sixth Judicial Circuit. He has been a member of numerous
State Bar committees including the Judicial Resource Reallocation Task Force
(chairman), the Pro Bono and Public Service Committee (vice chairman), the
Disciplinary Panel, the Judicial Liaison Committee, the Dispute Resolution
Section and the State Bar Technology in the Courts Task Force. He is currently a
Fellow of the Alabama Law Foundation.
He is a member of the Tuscaloosa County Bar Association and served as its
president in 2000-2001. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the
Georgia Institute of Technology and a Juris Doctor from the University of
Alabama School of Law.
He and his wife Christine live in Tuscaloosa and have four daughters.
