Joe McInnes brings decades of construction experience to one of the largest agencies in state government. Before retiring in 1999, McInnes worked as an executive with Blount International, Inc. for 25 years eventually serving as the company’s executive vice president and chief administrative officer.
Since 1998, he has served as chairman, chief executive officer and director of the Blount Cultural Park and has also served as president and director of the Blount Foundation since 1981.
The 59-year-old Wetumpka native has a long history of civic and community involvement with past service as president of the Montgomery Area United Way, president of the Tukabatchee Area Council Boy Scouts of America, director of the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce, director of the Alabama Humanities Foundation and trustee of the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts to name just a few of the positions he has held.
McInnes is a 1966 graduate of the University of Alabama and has served on its National Advisory Board and the President’s Cabinet. He also received a law degree from Jones School of Law.
