McCall previously served as the Chief of the Alabama Bureau of
Investigation (ABI).
A thirty-year veteran of law enforcement, McCall rose through the ranks
of the Department of Public Safety. Prior to being named Chief of the ABI,
McCall served as Chief of the Driver License Division and Assistant Chief of
the department’s Administrative Division.
While serving as Assistant Chief of the Administrative Division from 2005
through 2007, McCall was responsible for day-to-day supervision and
operations of all administrative services for the department. His duties
included managing 1,500 employees and a budget in excess of $180 million. He
holds an Associate’s Degree of Science in Criminal Justice from Ashworth
University.
As Chief of the ABI, McCall has had responsibility for command and
operation of all agency functions. He holds numerous specialist
certifications in law enforcement and instruction and is a licensed pilot.
